Foil Stamping with Structure

A special structured die is used for this foil stamping process. As a result, certain areas of the foil print show a structured surface while the other foiled areas are slightly deeper or higher than the structured areas. Depending on the angle of the light or the viewing perspective the foil print shows different gloss-matt contrasts between the flat areas reflecting light and the structured areas remitting and scattering light. In most cases a male die is used for this process, though sometimes an elastic material forms the counter die.
